David Martin : InterimGroup Director (Community and Adult Care Directorate)

There can be no secrets and no hiding place when it comes to exposing the abuse of vulnerable adults. Gloucestershire Community and Adult Care Directorate is proud to take the lead role in working with members of the public and partner organisations to coordinate responses to protect vulnerable adults as far as possible from harm.

I commend the Safeguarding Adults web pages to you as another way in which we can all work together to provide better protection and support for some of the most vulnerable members of our communities".

Antonia Noble: (Cabinet Member - Adult Safeguarding)

"We all have a right to live without fear of abuse or mistreatment. Older and vulnerable people are no exception and it is particularly important that we look after those people, who, because of physical or mental health difficulties, could be most vulnerable. All adults at risk of abuse and neglect should have the right to appropriate help and support from us so that they can live free from fear, violence and abuse.

These Adult Safeguarding web pages offer information to everybody who may be concerned about adult abuse"
