Festival of British Archaeology 17th July – 1st AugustOnce again the Archaeology Service showcased Gloucestershire's heritage during the Festival of British Archaeology.
During the Festival we organised a number of events around the county including walks to Lancaut Church and the Devil's Pulpit in the Forest of Dean and a practical, hands-on chance to undertake geophysical survey at Haresfield Beacon. These were just three events run by the Service with the aim of offering Gloucestershire residents the opportunity to learn more about their local heritage, to see archaeology in action, and to get involved. |
