Focus on Fielding and Platt: celebrating Gloucester's industrial heritage

Thanks to a grant of £42,900 from the Heritage Lottery Fund our project will gather, catalogue, preserve, share and celebrate the archival heritage of Fielding and Platt, iron founders and engineers in Gloucester for over 100 years.

Once a major employer with over 600 staff based in extensive premises at Gloucester Quays, there is now little physical trace of its existence. This project will encourage people to share their memories of Fielding and Platt and the Quays area, and bring its story back to life for the wider community to enjoy.
