Ordering documents in advance

Please order documents before your visit.

To allow us to carry out the building work which is part of our "For the Record" project, you will need to order all your documents before you visit.  This is especially the case with glass plate negatives, for which alternative viewing arrangements need to made.

Please give us at least 2 working days' notice when you order up to 3 items. For more than 3 items please give us 5 working days' notice. You can help us by giving us as much notice as you can.

You will need to know the references of the documents you wish to order. You can search for these using our online catalogue and then you can order documents in advanceOpens new window.

You will need to be or become registered with the Archives to access the documents.  You can find information about how to register at What to Bring with You.
