Use the A2B website for Gloucestershire [Opens in New Window] to find local services that can cater for you. Community Transport is the provision of transport for those people who would otherwise be stranded (membership criterias apply). These groups of people include the elderly, disabled and those with no bus service and no car.

Community Transport is provided by dedicated volunteers around the County and is partially funded by Gloucestershire County Council. The groups of people who are not provided for by public transport are often those who are already socially isolated. Journeys to buy food, to go to the hospital or other health facility, or to meet other people are impossible for many people without Community Transport.

With all these schemes passengers are asked to contribute a nominal fare to cover the running costs, however donations are always welcome. None of these schemes are designed to be in competition with public transport services and they are not personalised taxi services. They are designed to help those most in need, where public transport is not a viable alternative. The schemes are powered by volunteers who put in a lot of time and energy.
