Cheltenham's Princess Elizabeth Way set for surface repairs

Published

Work will start later this month to repair the popular A4013 which runs from GCHQ to the Kingsditch Retail Park.

The work will take place between Tuesday 26th April and Thursday 5th May and drivers are being advised to allow extra time for their journeys.

The road will remain open while the repairs are made, but to keep the workforce and road users safe, two way traffic lights and a convoy vehicle will be used to guide traffic through.

Every effort will be made to minimise disruption. The work will avoid the busy morning and afternoon travel times with highway crews onsite each day from 9.30am to 4pm.

Cllr Vernon Smith, cabinet member for highways and flood said, "Princess Elizabeth Way is a busy part of Cheltenham and I'm sure that regular commuters and residents will appreciate the improved road surface once it's complete.

"I'd like to thank local people in advance for their patience and remind them to allow extra time for their journeys while we get the work done."
