Could your pet be an advent star?

Calling all animal lovers! What pets do you have? Come and join in the festive fun and see your pet displayed!

Cirencester Library would like photos of your pets to help make a community library advent calendar for the festive season.

The special calendar will be displayed in the children's area of the library and each 'window' will display photos of local pets, which will then be revealed throughout December.

It's free to take part and all entrants must be members of the library.

People are asked to post photos of their pets into the post box inside the library.

Entrants must write on the back of the photo their name, postcode, library card number and name of their pet.

More than one pet may be entered, but only one photo is allowed per pet. Multiple pets on one photo will be accepted. Unfortunately photos cannot be returned.

Cllr Andrew Gravells, cabinet member responsible for libraries said, "Do you have a cat, a dog, a rabbit or a hamster? Maybe you have a snake, a spider or a goldfish?

"Let's celebrate our pets this Christmas and take part in the festive fun at Cirencester Library. Just bring along your favourite pet photo by 20th November."

Cllr Joe Harris, local county councillor for Cirencester Park said, "The children's area of the library will host this special advent calendar in the run up to Christmas. If you'd like to see your pet featured, do visit the library with your favourite photo."

Not a member of the library? Lost your library card? Library card expired? Don't worry, just come along to Cirencester Library with proof of your name and address and speak to one of our friendly members of staff.
