Emergency roadworks on A48

Published
02.09.2016

Temporary traffic lights will be installed on the A48 for emergency work to be carried out.

The works, which will take up to a week, involve digging a trench across the road between Blakeney and Newnham on Severn which means one lane will be closed to traffic.

Temporary traffic lights will be installed this afternoon (Friday 2nd) to allow the work to be carried out safely, and will be in place across the weekend and through next week.

During peak hours in the morning and evenings, the lights will be under manual control by highways crews on the scene.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time for their journeys to use local diversions where possible.

The traffic lights will be in place from Friday 2nd September until Friday 9th September.
