Have your say on the budget

Gloucestershire County Council is asking residents to have their say on proposals to focus on
vulnerable children and adults, better roads and a new school in next year’s budget.

Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure and Vetting and Barring Scheme Policy and Procedures (September 2009 Reviewed October 2011)

Gloucestershire County Council, through its managers and staff, has a duty to protect the wellbeing of the people of Gloucestershire and, in particular, those groups or individuals in its care who are vulnerable or at risk; such as children, older people and those with disabilities.

The law requires checks be carried out to ensure that people who may pose a threat to those at risk are not given positions of trust where they could exploit the children or adults entrusted to their care.
