Staff Supervision Policy and Procedures August 2015

For Social Work staff who manage a caseload

With the exception of reablement staff, Gloucestershire County Council staff who manage Adult Social Care cases will have regular professional supervision. In most but not all instances, the professional supervisor will be the staff member's line manager.

Supervision is based on a standard supervision agreement.

Among other things, policy includes:

  • supervision arrangements for Registered Social Workers
  • what will be covered in the supervision session
  • recording and reporting requirements.
