Have your say on the budget

Gloucestershire County Council is asking residents to have their say on proposals to focus on
vulnerable children and adults, better roads and a new school in next year’s budget.

User-Led organisations

How 'Experts by Experience' programmes are a key part of the quality regime and independent quality checking.

We use an organisation to complete quality checks on services that is run by people who receive services themselves and can offer expert advice based on their experiences. They speak to individuals receiving support to incorporate their own views into our quality work and suggest improvements for the provider to act upon.

Experts by experience organisation, alongside quality checking, also offers advice and support, social activities, and employment and volunteering opportunities.

Inclusion Gloucestershire

- completes quality visits with additional expertise around either the physical environment as they understand the needs of people with physical disabilities having used services themselves or learning disabilities.  They are flexible to the needs of service users, for example they can use Makaton signing. An example of their quality visit can be seen on: Gloucestershire Voices visit.
