It is an excellent viewpoint overlooking Cotswold farmland. There are a number of picnic tables for public use. There is also an interpretive panel that describes a circular walk around the perimeter of the site. Facilities:
The area is thought to derive its name from a nearby farm, originally named Kilkenny after the capture of Kilkenny town in Ireland by Cromwell in 1650. Part of the area is designated as a RIGS [Regionally Important Geological/Geomorphological Sites]. It is not just a well used recreational site, but also an important wildlife conservation area; listed as a key site by the Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust. Contact :-
