Swindon Village - St. Lawrence

2 mls NW of Cheltenham

The church has an octagonal Norman tower, one of only two in the county. The Norman chancel was rebuilt in the late 13th century and six grotesque Norman heads are reworked into the 19th century rebuilt nave. The south aisle has early tracery.
