Family Information Service (FIS)

We offer a wide range of information to support families, children and young people aged 0-19 years of age (25 for young people with additional needs), including information on Ofsted registered childcare providers in Gloucestershire.

Family information Service

The Family Information Service can offer support with information and advice on......

  • how to find childcare
  • changing or starting school
  • support for children with additional needs
  • family support
  • parenting
  • money matters including benefits
  • local activities and things to do after school/during the holidays
  • funded Nursery Education
  • details of children's activities
  • inclusion grant funding

... and much much more.

We are asked many questions – some we can answer straight away, but others may need to be researched further. Most are answered within one working day.  In all cases our commitment is "if we don't know the answer, we'll find someone who does".
