Sustainable Community StrategyPartners have developed a shared set of ambitions in the Sustainable Community Strategy for Gloucestershire. These have been supplemented by a set of 10-year success measures and targets (March 2009).What is a Sustainable Community Strategy (SCS)? The SCS is a short strategy that outlines the key issues that partners and organisations in Gloucestershire agree they need to address. The SCS sets partners' ambitions for the next 10 years. The SCS does not contain details on specific actions or outcomes - rather these are held in the following documents: Gloucestershire Local Area Agreement Action plans of Gloucestershire's main thematic partnerships:
Action plans of the 6 district Local Strategic Partnerships Other action plans of the organisations that make up the Gloucestershire Conference The document below, entitled "Delivering the Sustainable Community Strategy", shows how the Local Area Agreement helps deliver the specific aims in the Sustainable Community Strategy. During 2008 partners on the Gloucestershire Conference have consulted on a set of broad success measures for the SCS. These will help partners to demonstrate whether or not they have achieved the broad aims of the SCS.
