Domestic Violence/Abuse is 'Any incident of threatening behaviour, violence or abuse (psychological, physical, sexual, financial or emotional) between adults who are or have been intimate partners or family members, regardless of gender or sexuality.'    (Home Office, November 2004)

Domestic Violence will affect one in three women at some time in their lives, and research has shown that many women will experience domestic violence over thirty times before they get help.
