Commissioning Board

The Commissioning Board meets to deliberate and make decisions delegated to it by the Children and Young People's Strategic Partnership (CYPSP) Executive Group with a view to maximise resources, improve value for money and ensure consistency, whilst commissioning services for children and young people in Gloucestershire and to enable the vision (Annexe 3) of the CYPSP to become a reality:

'To enable Children and Young People within Gloucestershire to lead healthy, confident, capable and emotionally secure lives in safer neighbourhoods and to benefit from the cultural diversity within the county'.

The Commissioning Board have overseen the commissioning of a number of funds including:

• The Prevention Fund Vulnerable Children and Young People
• The Prevention Fund Therapeutic Services
• The Prevention Fund Parenting Services
• Young People's Services Funding
