WCS Site Options - SITE 6 MORETON VALENCE - PROPOSED EXTENSION (ADDITIONAL CONSULTATION)

The purpose of this stage is to consult on a number of sites that could potentially be used for waste treatment. The consultation will help inform the preparation of the Waste Core Strategy (WCS) for Gloucestershire.

WCS Submission

On 29th September, as part of the preparation of the Waste Core Strategy (WCS), the County Council's Cabinet approved a consultation on potential sites that could be used to treat waste in Gloucestershire.

The consultation period ran for 8 weeks from 5th October 2009 until 30th November 2009.  As part of the consultation the Council invited respondents to put forward additional sites that could be used for waste management. In response, the operator of land at Moreton Valence (identified in the Site Options paper as Site 6) proposed an extension to the boundary of their site. As part of its commitment to ongoing consultation, the Council is providing the opportunity for you to comment on the proposed extension before a decision is made on whether to incorporate the site into the submission draft WCS (due to be published in December 2010). Copies of the site assessment and site schedule for the extended site are attached below. Click on the links to view.
