Our message is not anti-car. This would make no sense in a mainly rural county like Gloucestershire, but the county does suffer from the negative impact of using cars too much, and at the same time there are many people who are not able to access affordable and sustainable transport.

Everyone can be part of the solution rather than part of the problem. If a few people in the county gave up their cars entirely, this would have very little effect on road traffic congestion and pollution. But if every car driver in the county made a small regular contribution by sharing a lift, catching the bus, cycling or walking once a week, then our combined efforts will have a significant effect. If more community groups propose viable projects for improving rural transport, then between us we will achieve even more.
