Report a problem on the roads

If there's a problem, please let us know.

Whilst we are responsible for most of the roads in the county there are some that are the responsibility of the Highways Agency.  Look at this map [160kb] to check that the problem you are about to report relates to a Gloucestershire Highways road.

Whether you call our 08000 514 514 number or complete the form online, it would be helpful if you could have the following key information in mind:

• Description of the Defect you are reporting with any information on approximate size and depth.
• Where the report is about a street light the street light number found on the lamp column will help us to identify the appropriate street light
• Location details with reference to any relevant Town/City, Street Name and nearest House Number or landmark if in a rural area
• Your contact details, if you are happy that we contact you again if we are unable to pinpoint the exact location of what you are reporting

Reporting Problems On Line

On line reporting allows you to tell us about a Highway problem directly and to see what we are doing about it. Please note this service requires pop ups and scripting enabled in your web browser.

• You can tell us where the problem is either by describing its location or by using a map that covers almost every street in Gloucestershire
• Many different types of highway problem can be reported on-line eg potholes and faulty street lights
• The action that we decide to take will be recorded against your problem’s unique reference number, so that you can check how things are going, day or night to suit you.
