Partnerships with the Gloucestershire Conference, Gloucestershire Environment Partnership and Gloucestershire First

The Gloucestershire Conference 

 The Gloucestershire Conference is the county's partnership of partnerships. It is collectively responsible for:

• Agreeing a long-term vision for Gloucestershire (set out in the Gloucestershire Sustainable Community Strategy)
• Translating that vision into medium-term targets and delivery plans (through the The Gloucestershire Local Area Agreement (LAA) and other delivery plans)
• Delivering improvements which make a real difference for the people of Gloucestershire
• Monitoring and evaluating the work of the partnership

The Gloucestershire Environment Partnership 

The Gloucestershire Environment Partnerhip (GEP) champions Gloucestershire's response to climate change. It is one of the five Thematic Partnerships under the Gloucestershire Conference. It provides strategic leadership on environment issues across the county and leads the Natural and Built Environment Theme within The Gloucestershire Local Area Agreement.

As part of its response to climate change it has set up the following themed task and finish groups:

• Domestic Sector Task Group 
• Business Sector Task Group
• Public Sector Task Group 
• Road Transport Sector Task Group

Gloucestershire First

In April 2007 Gloucestershire First [Opens in New Window]  produced the Gloucestershire Energy Strategy - April 2007. The Strategy sets out a framework for the achievement of an affordable, secure and sustainable energy supply in Gloucestershire.
