Following boundary changes - see the link to "The County of Gloucestershire (Electoral Changes) Order 2004" - the 2005 elections were held in 53 electoral divisions electing 63 councillors (ten divisions elected 2 councillors each).

  • Cheltenham area

    Voters elected 12 councillors for 7 divisions in the Cheltenham Borough Council area. Five of the divisions elected two councillors.

  • Cotswold area

    Voters elected 9 councillors for 8 divisions in the Cotswold District Council area. One division (Cirencester) elected two councillors.

  • Forest of Dean area

    Voters elected 9 councillors for 9 divisions in the Forest of Dean District Council area.

  • Gloucester area

    Voters elected 12 councillors for 10 divisions in the Gloucester City Council area. Two of the divisions (Quedgeley & Westgate) elected two councillors.

  • Stroud area

    Voters elected 12 councillors for 11 divisions in the Stroud District Council area. One division (Cam and Dursley) elected two councillors.

  • Tewkesbury area

    Voters elected 9 councillors for 8 divisions in the Tewkesbury Borough Council area. One division (Tewkesbury) elected two councillors.
