Have your say on the budget

Gloucestershire County Council is asking residents to have their say on proposals to focus on
vulnerable children and adults, better roads and a new school in next year’s budget.

Library Growth Hub Network

In partnership with GFirst LEP, Gloucestershire County Council is embedding ‘Growth Hubs’ into all of its 31 libraries across the county; by Spring 2018.

What is ‘The Growth Hub Network’?

Along with other partner organisations around the county, Growth Hubs in the libraries will be a focal point for business owners who are seeking the relevant information, support, and knowledge needed to grow.

The Growth Hub Network can help you develop and refine your strategy, become more competitive, grow your people and skills, access finance, innovate, improve efficiency and identify new markets. The aim of the Network is to make business support more simplified and accessible, to every corner of Gloucestershire.

What can I get from The Growth Hub in my local library?

Growth Hubs in the libraries will provide access to an online database of free business support and resources, and a wide variety of printed resources.

Selected libraries will have co-working spaces and business areas, whereas some will simply have literature and guidance.

How can I get help for my business?

You can drop into any library to access The Growth Hub’s online support, or find out what additional support is available by completing an eligibility check. Those businesses which are eligible will be contacted by The Growth Hub team, to discuss their needs and how The Growth Hub can help.

When do the Growth Hubs open?

The Growth Hubs in libraries are now open: Charlton Kings, Cheltenham, Hesters Way, Hucclecote, Matson, Prestbury, Tuffley, Up Hatherley, Chipping Campden, Cirencester, Fairford, Tetbury, Bishops Cleeve, Cinderford, Coleford, Lydney, Newent and Winchcombe.  All Hubs are available during library opening hours and you can find the opening times at www.gloucestershire.gov.uk/libraries

Growth hubs in the remaining 13 libraries across Gloucestershire will be opening in the coming months. We hope to have Growth Hubs in all of our libraries by Spring 2018.

Coming soon - Innovation Labs

Two new Innovation Labs are coming to Gloucestershire libraries  with the first launching in Spring 2018 at Coleford Library. They will bring ‘digital making’ to our communities.  Think robotics, 3D printing, programming, laser cutting and engraving, together with workshops to fire up creative ambitions. You could make just about anything.

Innovation labs are open to businesses and individuals to test ideas and products and there will be a consultation to find out what you like to see in our first Lab.
