Health Information

All the information you need regarding your health and the related services available to you in Gloucestershire

Our health service is provided through:

  • hospitals

  • dentists
  • pharmacists
  • opticians
  • health visitors
  • family planning clinics

We call this the National Health Service (NHS).  The NHS is FREE and available to all people living in the UK.  Everyone is entitled to free NHS treatment, but some people will first need to obtain an exemption certificate, called an HC2.

Doctors

Everyone is entitled to a local doctor, called a General Practitioner (GP).  If you are new to Gloucestershire, you will need to contact your nearest Surgery [Opens in New Window].
