The Autumn auction is now open

Registration for the Autumn auction is open, register by 9th October.

Have your say on the budget

Gloucestershire County Council is asking residents to have their say on proposals to focus on
vulnerable children and adults, better roads and a new school in next year’s budget.

Take part in the consultation

The Big Community Switch

Gloucestershire County Council wants to support people in their quest to get a better deal for their energy.

The council is concerned about the impact that energy prices have on Gloucestershire residents, particularly older people and those living in fuel poverty. That's why it is participating in the Big Community Switch to help people get cheaper gas and electricity by working together. The scheme is available to residents on dual and single tariffs and those with pre-payment meters.

The Big Community Switch is bulk buying - if a large number of people want to change supplier together they are likely to get a better deal than just one person shopping around and switching on their own.

The more households that register their interest in switching, the more attractive it becomes for an energy supplier to offer a competitive price and the more likely consumers are to achieve significant savings.

The Big Community Switch can also help households with pre-payment meters, making it easier to get a competitive price and save money on gas and electricity.

The results from this auction are in!

Our partner iChossr is now in the process of turning the information from the suppliers into personal offers for you. If you registered for the autumn auction keep an eye on your emails in the next few weeks!

If you didn’t register for the Big Community Switch you can still find out if you could save money on your energy bills. You can continue to register until 21st November (offline) and 28th November (online).

It's easy to register online. If you do not have access to the internet you can visit yourlocal Library to use a computer, or call 01452 425757 between 10am and 3pm from Monday to Friday if you need help over the phone.

By signing up you are under no obligation to switch supplier. It's a good way to check you are getting the best energy deal for your household.
