Local Aggregates Assessment (LAA)
The National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) requires minerals planning authorities to plan for a steady and adequate supply of aggregates. To achieve this consideration must be given to the outcomes of annually-prepared Local Aggregates Assessments (LAAs).
The LAA for Gloucestershire is made up of the following: -
- information about the supply of aggregates and remaining reserves from mineral sites within Gloucestershire;
- an analysis of future aggregate supply options affecting the county and a review of future demand; and
- conclusions and recommendations for minerals planning purposes.
The latest Local Aggregates Assessment can be found here. Gloucestershire Local Aggregate Assessment (4th Version)
The 4th version LAA covers the period between 01/01/2014 and 31/12/2014. It has been subject to targeted consultation with key parties including; all adjacent minerals planning authorities and the South West Aggregate Working Party (SW-AWP).
All previous versions and an initial baseline data report, published in 2013 can be found on the Evidence base for the Minerals Local Plan for Gloucestershire page.
