Highways Information Packs (HIPs)

Our Highways Information Packs including our planned Capital Works Programme

The packs include information related to our business; thatof managing Gloucestershire's road network and the services and programmes of work for the year ahead.

Our works and services are based on the Transport Asset Management Plan (TAMP) that defines our strategy and levels of service in accordance with the council's Corporate Strategy and Local Transport Plan (LTP).

The packs are split into two sections; the first provides information about our business and includes key topics such as potholes, road condition, the highways contract, winter maintenance (salting), 'Highways Community Offer' and 'Highways Local'.

The second section outlines the capital programme of work planned to be undertaken in this financial year (2014/15) and lists some of the provisional programme for next year (2015/16)

The capital programme is typically split into two areas:

Integrated Transport - highway improvement schemes to improve safety, accessibility, quality of life, or reduce congestion.

Structural Maintenance - the long term refurbishment or repair of our highway assets such as road and footpath resurfacing, bridge repairs, drainage repairs and the improvement and maintenance of street lighting and traffic signals.
