Welcome to Museums for Schools - this website will help teachers find the right museum, gallery or other heritage organisation for a school visit suited to the curriculum topics they are studying.

The experience offered by seeing, touching, drawing, exploring a genuine object, document or work of art is acknowledged to be an unparalleled way of reaching the imagination of children and students. Whatever subject you are teaching (almost) there is a museum in Gloucestershire with a collection that will enhance your pupils' learning.

	Events for museum staff Occasionally we get to hear about training opportunities or seminars aimed at museum staff and volunteers.		Timeportals - a new resource for KS2 Timeportals is a new, free creative learning resource that supports historical investigation in the classroom. Timeportals is rich in primary source material: pictures, photographs, videos and simple text. It is interactive and engaging with instinctive, visual navigation.
