Update on Open Water Market from April 2017

Published
26.04.2017

The Water Competition or Open Water Market where we have a choice of where we buy water is now operating, similarly to how; we as a business buy gas and electricity. Payment details update – Water Plus remains the same as previously used for Severn Trent, Castle Water have confirmed new details and Water2business will confirm them on the next scheduled invoice.

We have decided as a council not to action any change of water supplier for our properties until the market develops. We will monitor and review the market going forward; the expected margins are very tight so it would not be cost effective to change now. Please send 12-months water invoices to energywater.amps@gloucestershire.gov.uk

No change to water supply or quality, this will continue to be provided by the existing wholesaler. Retailer will manage servicing of the accounts including customer service, billing and payments plus value added services efficiency, smart metering and reporting.
