Your Health and Wellbeing

Published
04.05.2017

There’s still time to share your thoughts on your Health and Wellbeing!

To understand how well our new Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) is working for you, we are currently running a short survey. You can take part whether you have used the service or not! The survey closes on the 14 May so please find a few minutes to let us know what you think.

Health and wellbeing advice where and when you need it most – the ‘Health E-Hub’ App

Did you know that our EAP provider, Health Assured has recently launched an App? Now you can get health and wellbeing advice quickly, easily and discretely wherever you are. To download the app, head to the Apple or the Google Play store and search ‘Health E-Hub’.

Is your child ready for school? Make sure they’re protected

This week, parents were offered a place for their child to start primary school. Make sure your child has had their full programme of vaccinations before they start school, when they could be introduced to new potential sources of infection. You can check you’re up to date by contacting your GP surgery. It’s not too late to catch up on missed doses now. See the UK vaccination schedule. The reason some diseases have become rarer is because of the success of vaccination programmes.  However, they can still come back and spread rapidly if people are not protected.

We will be running articles like this every month to keep you informed and up-to-date about events and information that could be important to your Health and Wellbeing. Whilst we plan to use information from a variety of sources, a lot of the tools and info we use will come from Health Assured’s Employee Assistance Programme that provides a massive variety of helpful tools and information, and 24/7 counselling services.

For more information about how to buy-in to this service within your schools, head to EAP or contact Occupational Health ohu@gloucestershire.gov.uk
