The Schools Forum Elections are taking place this year. Please view the document on the right for details on which seats are up for election and the election process.
The Forum has an advisory role in a number of aspects concerning decisions about school funding and budgets. The Forum also advises on certain contracts for supplies and services.
The Gloucestershire Schools Forum has been set up under the requirements of
- Section 47A of the School Standards and Framework Act 1998 and
- The Schools Forums (England) Regulations 2012
The Schools Forum Constitution describes the membership and role of the Forum.
Members of the forum are elected every two years.
Members of the public may attend Forum meetings but may only ask questions or participate in the discussion if asked to do so by the Chair. All meetings start at 2pm, and are held at Shire Hall, Gloucester unless another location is listed against that date. Dates for 2017 meetings:
- Thursday 11 January
- Thursday 15 March
- Thursday 10 May
- Thursday 21 June
- Thursday 20 September
- Thursday 15 November
