All students who start courses in 2010, or who started their courses of Higher Education in 2009 must apply to Student Finance England for financial support. Local authorities no longer deal with new applications for financial support. Consequently we are unable to provide you with information or advice about eligibility, amounts of entitlement or application forms.

Information for students who started courses before September 2009

If you started your course before September 2009, your financial support will continue to be assessed by Gloucestershire for the 2010/11 academic year. If your course completes after July 2011, the administration of your support will transfer to Student Finance England who will administer your support for the academic year 2011/12 and after.

If you started your course before 2009 and need to contact us please see below. Please note, however, that we cannot provide any guidance to students or parents relating to students who started courses in 2009 or after. This is strictly the responsibility of Student Finance England.

Regrettably, we do not have sufficient resources to attend to all customers who visit the office, but you are welcome to hand deliver any forms, documents or correspondence providing that the paperwork relates to a course that started before 2009.

If you do require an individual appointment to discuss a particular problem relating to a course that started before 2009, please contact us on the number given below between 9.00 and 12.00 Monday to Friday. We cannot help with enquiries from the public which relate to courses which start in 2009 or later as this is the responsibility of Student Finance England.
