Village and Community Agents

Village and Community Agents bridge the gap between communities and organisations that are able to offer help or support.

GRCC

Village Agents provide support to the over 50's in rural areas and Community Agents provide support to black and minority ethnicity groups.

Our agents:

  • provide high quality information
  • put people in direct contact with the agencies that are able to provide the service they need
  • carry out a series of practical checks
  • help build communities

Village Agents online

The Village Agents online website is now available and is full of useful, easily found information for the over 50's. It also has its own database where you can find very localised information about social activities, shops, pharmacy delivery etc and other services specific to the parishes covered by Village Agents.

We are looking for volunteers to provide local information for areas not covered by a Village Agent.
