Assessed and Supported Year of Employment

The Assessed and Supported Year of employment (ASYE) in Adult Social Care

The ASYE is a twelve month, employer- led programme of support and assessment against the Knowledge and Skills Statement for social workers in adult services. Participation in the ASYE supports Newly Qualified Social Workers (NQSW's) to consolidate their degree learning, develop capability and strengthen their professional confidence in an employment environment.

You can find out more about the national requirements for ASYE by visiting the Skills for Care website here. What we offer you in Gloucestershire can be found below:

  • Regular supervision from a Practice Development Social Worker (in addition to your supervision with supervisor)
  • Group supervision sessions
  • Practice development workshops
  • Protected caseload
  • 6 days of protected study time

You must be a newly qualified social worker (who qualified within the last two years) to apply for our ASYE Social Worker vacancies. Please click here to find out more about being a newly qualified social worker in Adult Social Care.
