  • 5 depots embedded with GCC Area Team
  • Routine Maintenance (potholes)
  • Cyclical maintenance drains, grass cutting, weed spraying, vegetation, trees
  • Minor works, signs and lines
  • Patching and surface dressing
  • Winter gritting
  • Some minor structural maintenance capacity (patching and footways)

Professional Services Contract – Atkins

  • April 2019 start
  • 6 years (+4), ~£2m annually
  • Design support
  • Bridge, geotechnical, drainage, inspections
  • Scheme design and project management
  • Top up project management
  • Transport planning consultancy top up

Structural Maintenance Contract – Tarmac

 

  • Spring 2018 start
  • 2 years, ~£15-20m annually
  • Resurfacing works
  • Patching works
  • Supervision of works included

Street Lighting Contract - Milestone

The GCC Highway Commissioning Team

They provide the support and link to the communities in delivering the wider view on the County’s Highways Services, whether they are about our Policies or how to promote local schemes in to the programme of works. The team also ensures the public’s money is spent in the most effective way and that Ringway, Atkins, Milestone and Tarmac meets the needs of the people of Gloucestershire. Our team is split into two areas, one covering day-to-day operations, the other focusing on longer term programmes of work and procurement:
