Changes to our opening hours

We are now closed to the public while we move into the newly refurbished Heritage Hub. We will be re-opening at 9.00 am on Tuesday 27 March 2018.

Gloucestershire Archives will be closed from 04:30 pm Thursday, March 8 to 04:30 pm Monday, March 26 due to to move into the newly refurbished Heritage Hub

Gloucestershire Archives is closed on Mondays and Fridays as well as public holidays in England and Wales.

The revised opening hours above will allow us to carry out the building work which is part of our "For the Record" project.


Only Blue Badge holders are able to park on site.There are car parks nearby at Hare Lane and Great Western road - or consider using the bus or train for your visit.
