How to apply to the fund

The deadline to apply has now passed. The decision to award funding will be made by the decision making panel by the 17th January 2022.

This is a competitive process and bids are invited from parish and town councils, voluntary and community organisations and other incorporated bodies.

The fund is intended to focus on Market Towns, rural communities and those that live on the edge of urban areas.

The fund is not available for district councils or the GFirst Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP). It is also not applicable for larger commercial events taking place in the centre of our urban areas.

Bids will also be considered from local businesses or groups of businesses in order to support events or initiatives that would otherwise be financially unachievable. In this case, any business(es) involved would need to agree to provide GCC will relevant accounts statements in order to provide assurance that the grant was not funding any element of profit.

Bids from groups of organisations will be accepted, but the grant funding will be paid to a single organisation/entity that will take responsibility for administering the grant on behalf of the others, and ensuring it is used for the intended purpose.

Gloucestershire County Council will help with advice on publicising any events funded through this scheme, and it is a requirement of the grant that you acknowledge the role of the county council’s as a part-funder in any publicity or literature that you produce in relation to the grant by displaying their logo on materials both - digital and printed.
