Period Poverty Fund
What is the Period Poverty fund?
A grants programme for 2018-19 to invest in community initiatives which can alleviate the impact of period poverty. Successful organisations will receive funding to procure and distribute sanitary products to those most in need in Gloucestershire.
‘Period Poverty’ is a term which is used to describe a situation in which someone cannot afford to buy sanitary products.
Who could apply?
- Community or voluntary groups
- Registered charities
- Community interest companies
- Religious groups
- Organisations located outside Gloucestershire who will use the funding to support people within Gloucestershire.
How much could I apply for?
Expressions of Interest can be made for amounts between £500 and £15,000.
How long is the scheme open for?
Expressions of Interest must be received by 31st October 2018 and payments to successful projects will be made by 31st March 2019.
How do I apply ?
Please read and check that you meet the criteria before applying.
To apply, you will need to complete an expression of interest application and return it to PeriodPovertyFund@gloucestershire.gov.uk by 31st October 2018.
The selection of projects for the scheme will be made by the Director of Public Health or a delegated officer working closely with the Period Poverty Steering Group.
