The Social Work Academy
Gloucestershire's Social Work Academy was launched in 2019 and now has a comprehensive programme of learning opportunities to support the continuing professional development of Gloucestershire’s children’s social workers and allied professionals.
The children’s social care management and leadership group are offered a programme of coaching funded by the Department for Education and delivered in partnership with the Staff College.
The programme seeks to empower managers and leaders to engage, support and deliver their full potential.
Using the ‘GROW’ model of coaching and a bespoke specification all Team Managers, Service Managers and Heads of Service are helped to realise their full potential.
