The Social Work Academy
Gloucestershire's Social Work Academy was launched in 2019 and now has a comprehensive programme of learning opportunities to support the continuing professional development of Gloucestershire’s children’s social workers and allied professionals.
All Team Managers are offered a comprehensive management and leadership programme. With a combination of internal and externally commissioned facilitators and subject experts this focuses on:
- Quality of Practice
- Performance
- Managing Resources
- Supervision
- Shaping the System
- The effective use of Power and Authority
All Service Managers are also offered a comprehensive management and leadership programme that covers similar themes as the team manager programme but with role specific adjustments.
