Testing for those without COVID symptoms

These tests are for people without symptoms of COVID-19.

Do not attend this test centre if you are displaying any of the following symptoms or are currently self isolating:

  • High temperature;
  • New continuous cough; and /or
  • Loss or change to sense of smell or taste.

If you have symptoms, self isolate and book a test for those with symptoms through the national testing portal.

Please remember that testing is not an alternative to following the rules on hands, face and space.

Policy change

The Government has announced that from 9th April, twice weekly rapid tests will be available to everyone in England without symptoms.

From 30th March 2021 all individuals who receive a positive Lateral Flow Device (LFD) test result will be encouraged to take a follow-up PCR test, whether the LFD test was assisted or self-reported.

If you receive a positive assisted LFD test result, you must self-isolate. You can stop self-isolating once the self-isolation period is up or if you receive a negative, follow-up PCR result within 72 hours of the positive LFD test result. The PCR test can be taken at a test site or at home.
