Part 5 - Remote Meetings Protocol and Procedure Rules

Below are the Remote Meetings Protocol and Procedure Rules.

2.1     This Remote Protocol and Procedure Rules should be read in conjunction with the Gloucestershire County Council’s Standing Orders and Procedural Standing Orders within Gloucestershire County Council’s Constitution.

2.2     The Regulations, made under section 78 of the Coronavirus Act 2020, apply notwithstanding any other legislation or current or pre-existing standing orders or any other rules of the Authority governing meetings and remain valid until 7 May 2021 (‘the Relevant Period’). This means that, wherever there is a conflict, these Remote Meetings Procedure Rules take precedence in relation to any remote.

2.3     The Council’s Procedural Standing Orders shall be supplemented and amended as set out within this Protocol and Procedural Rules and shall apply during the Relevant Period.
