Consult Gloucestershire - The People's Panel
What is the People's Panel?
The People's Panel is made up of Gloucestershire residents from all different backgrounds. Members of the panel are asked to give their views about Council services and issues affecting Gloucestershire.
This could be via online and postal surveys or local events.
How much time would I have to give to being a panel member?
It's up to you.! You can give as much or as little time as you want to!
What kind of things will I be asked?
In early 2016 members of the People's Panel were asked to give their views on a number of different services, plans, strategies and policies. These included:
- The council's budget 2016/17
- Living a healthy life in Gloucestershire
- Support for people in vulnerable circumstances
- The county council website
This was carried out through online surveys and invitations to attend focus groups.
How will my feedback make a difference?
All the feedback is being used to inform the final plans and strategies.
Why should I take part?
There has never been a more important time to get involved with the People's Panel and have your say.
Many of you have said that you are keen to explore how we intend to make efficiencies and deliver things differently and we intend to work with you, our partners and the voluntary and community sector to move forward with this in the coming year.
How will I be asked to take part?
You will be sent a newsletter about 4 times a year. This will tell you about all the ways in which you can have your say on the decisions we make.
NB: Please let us know if you haven't received the newsletter.
How will I know that you have listened to what I've said?
The newsletter will give you feedback as to how your views have made a difference.
How do I join?
It's simple! Email communications@gloucestershire.gov.uk & we'll be in touch.
We look forward to receiving your completed form. By participating in the People's panel you will have an influential and important role to play in shaping services in your community.
