Information Sharing

Introduction

Most of the council's information sharing will be defined by legislation or statutory guidance but we also take further steps to protect your personal data.

In 2010, GCC worked closely with partner agencies to develop the Gloucestershire Information Sharing Partnership Agreement (GISPA) which brings together consistent sharing practices between police, health and other organisations within Gloucestershire. You can learn more about the GISPA on the GCC website.

Data sharing in crisis situation

The council may need to share personal and special category data in a timely fashion in order to effectively support a person or community in an emergency or crisis.
Personal data may be shared:

  • To prevent danger or potential harm
  • To protect vital interests
