Roads to broadband
Fastershire - faster broadband for Herefordshire and Gloucestershire
Building the right infrastructure to bring investment to Gloucestershire isn't just about roads. It also means connecting the county with faster broadband to all areas, no matter how rural.
In partnership with Herefordshire Council and BT,we have invested 7.5m to build a world class broadband network across the county, due to be completed by the end of 2015.

Sustainable Transport Funding
We have, with the support of our partners, successfully secured 5m from the Department for Transport for a programme of sustainable transport measures.
In February 2012 we submitted a bid to the Government's Local Sustainable Transport Fund (LSTF) for a package of measures aimed at supporting economic regeneration and growth and reducing carbon emissions from travel.
The successful LSTF bid forms part of the Grow Gloucestershire investment package to bring better infrastructure, skills and jobs to the county.
The LSTF project covers the city of Gloucester, the town of Cheltenham and the villages in between. There is a particular focus around the regeneration areas of Boots Corner and The Brewery in Cheltenham and King's Quarter in Gloucester as well as the key transport corridors within and between each urban area.

Gloucestershire Infrastructure Investment Fund (GIIF)
The Gloucestershire Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) has been awarded 8.4 million from the Government's Growing Places Fund to set up a revolving infrastructure investment fund for Gloucestershire.
This fund will be used to stimulate local economic growth by targeting investment to deliver the infrastructure needed to unlock constrained and stalled development sites.
Gloucestershire LEP working closely with Gloucestershire County Council welcomes expressions of interest from potential projects.
