Roads to broadband
Fastershire - faster broadband for Herefordshire and Gloucestershire
Building the right infrastructure to bring investment to Gloucestershire isn't just about roads. It also means connecting the county with faster broadband to all areas, no matter how rural.
In partnership with Herefordshire Council, we have invested £7.5m to build a world class broadband network across the county.

Project Gigabit
The Government wants to deliver lightning-fast, reliable broadband to everyone in the UK and is investing £5b in Project Gigabit to ensure that hard-to-reach communities are not left out.
Building Digital UK (BDUK) is carrying out an Open Market Review (OMR) in multiple areas including Gloucestershire to help identify premises that may be suitable for future public funding for gigabit-capable broadband.
BDUK is seeking information and supporting evidence from suppliers - in relation to the presence of gigabit capable broadband infrastructure within the project areas. If you have existing network coverage or plan to build infrastructure within the next three years, we encourage you to respond to this OMR.
This consultation opens on Wednesday, 6 April, 2022 and closes on Friday, 6 May, 2022.
To respond to this Open Market Review, and for more information, visit BDUK's page.
Gloucestershire Infrastructure Investment Fund (GIIF)
The Gloucestershire Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) has been awarded £8.4 million from the Government's Growing Places Fund to set up a revolving infrastructure investment fund for Gloucestershire.
This fund will be used to stimulate local economic growth by targeting investment to deliver the infrastructure needed to unlock constrained and stalled development sites.
Gloucestershire LEP working closely with Gloucestershire County Council welcomes expressions of interest from potential projects.
