Children’s Activity Fund 2017 (CAF4)
The Children’s Activity Fund (CAF) aim is to enhance the wellbeing of children and young people who are living, studying and playing in Gloucestershire; increasing leisure time and activity opportunities in their local communities.
Funding can be used for 0 to 18 year olds for projects ranging from after school clubs, cultural activities, weekend camps to learning about wildlife or astronomy - as long as it gets young people in your local community active.
Groups and organisations must be not-for-profit. Schools and colleges can apply for extra-curricular activities but not curriculum-time activities.
All applications must be submitted by a County Councillor with their endorsement. All applications must be submitted no later than the end of December 2017.
CAF4
- The CAF provides £5,000 to each electoral division within Gloucestershire.
- The fund is to support projects that provide activities for children and young people. These can be wider than sport and physical activity e.g. drama, art.
- Any amount up to £5,000 can be applied for and councillors can submit joint applications if they wish.
- The scheme is aimed at not for profit organisations that are constituted and have a bank account held in the name of the organisation applying.
- Applications MUST be sent to the Children’s Activity Fund Team via the relevant councillor and cannot be submitted directly from the applicant.
- Activities must be for children & young people aged 0 to 18
- Funding is for activities only (not land or building works)
- All applications must be submitted by the end of December 2017
