One You pledge campaign – update
Our One you campaign has now finished and what a great month it’s been. Here are some of the highlights….. In total we had 168 people sign up to make a change for the better with a One You pledge. Whether it was to eat well, move more, be smoke free, drink less, or stress less – people around GCC and beyond have been setting themselves a four-week challenge to pick up a new, healthier habit. To see some of the great challenges people have set themselves we have put together the One You PowerPoint here.
Sarah Scott, Director of Public Health, has also been supporting everyone trying to make a change by having an open and honest discussion about her own efforts. Sarah Scott’s One You Blog is Sarah’s own opportunity to discuss how her challenge of doing 70,000 steps a week has faced up to scorching weather, a busy job and birthday cake!
We’ve also seen great participation in our Working Week Steps Challenge where we have 72 staff members making up 12 teams within GCC.
We had a great turnout at our mini health and wellbeing MOTs on 12 June, including attendance from three councillors – thank you.
