Pharmacy list confirmed for Staff Flu jabs
Our Staff Flu campaign has started so plan your Flu jab today!
The staff Flu team are pleased to share the list of Pharmacies in Gloucestershire where you can get a free Flu jab this winter to boost your immunity.
This winter it is expected that many respiratory infections, including Covid-19 and Flu may be circulating at high levels – this may put increasing pressure on hospitals and other health care services. So, it is important to take up a Flu jab as well as a Covid-19 autumn booster if you are offered by your GP.
NHS eligibility
Remember that if you are already entitled to a flu vaccine because you fall into one of the NHS priority categories you can have your flu vaccination at your GP surgery or any pharmacy.
If you are in an NHS risk group, it is important to get your flu vaccine as soon as possible. You may be able to get the COVID-19 vaccine booster at the same time, but please do not wait for this if your flu vaccine comes first. The sooner you have the flu jab, the sooner you will be protected.
Find out more about the Flu vaccine on the NHS website.
How to get a free Staff Flu jab
GCC will provide free Flu vaccines to staff who are not NHS eligible to make sure they protect themselves, their colleagues, and their clients/service users as well as their family and friends from becoming seriously unwell with Flu. GCC, GFRS and Gloucester City Council staff will be able to receive a jab for free from a participating pharmacy from 15 October.
All you need is your GCC, GFRS or Gloucester City Council ID badge. It’s helpful if you print and fill out the consent form on Staffnet and bring it with you.
