Help your child cope with school / college

It is completely normal for children and young people to worry about things that happen at school or college from time to time. If you are a parent it can be really concerning and you might wonder what you can do to support them.

Below are some ways to help  your child / children cope with school or college.

How they may feel

There are lots of things that might make children and young people feel stressed, worried or anxious at school, for example:

  • peer pressure,
  • friendship troubles,
  • homework, or
  • planning for the future.

We’ve written a guide for children and young people to help them cope.

This year, there may also be added worries around COVID-19 – some children might be excited to return to school, while others might feel uncertain and worried about what to expect.
