How can I protect myself and others against COVID-19?

Our position

It’s important to remember that is the next step in the roadmap, but it’s not the last step in overcoming Covid and with the virus still circulating in our community, everyone is right to and encouraged to move forward with caution. We must go on supporting, respecting and protecting each other in the actions and decisions we take.

Alongside other businesses and individuals in the county, the council will also be taking the next step cautiously by gradually bringing staff back into council buildings and continuing to ask them and visitors to wear a face covering when moving around, while maintaining social distancing for the comfort and safety of everyone.

Visitors to the council will be asked to check in using the NHS App to help facilitate the track and trace process.

Our Shire Hall reception has reopened its doors but, to help us to maintain a safe environment for all, we ask that you only visit if you have an appointment. Many of our staff will be returning to the office gradually, in line with government guidance, so visitors are not guaranteed that they will be able to speak to a specific staff member or service without pre-arranging their visit.
